MEET THE TEAM

RICHARD - STUDIO DIRECTOR

Richard is originally from South Africa, he lived in several countries before he found his home in the US. Both his creative and entrepreneurial spirit developed early when at 5 years old he would trade drawings he did of Superman for other kids candy.

Trained as a fine art painter and sculptor, Richard began his photography career as a portrait photographer and Art Director before opening Venture Studios in Caldwell in 2018. When he's not in the studio, he can be found tearing around the North East on his Harley or painting in his home studio.

Richard's main passion in life, however, is his energetic young daughters who keep him young and on his toes. He knows all the words to 'Let it go'.

SARAH - PHOTOGRAPHER

Sarah is Massachusetts born and raised. After starting her photography career in Hong Kong where she lived for two years, she joined the Caldwell Team. Licensed in Portraiture from the British Institute of Professional Photography, Sarah brings professional experience from both hemispheres.

Sarah's passion is portraiture and creative lighting techniques that push the boundaries of styling, which has led to her winning several photographic awards. She is great with people of all ages, but is especially talented at getting those natural giggles from children.

In her free time she enjoys binge watching Netflix Series, being outdoors, riding a bike around Central Park, or just hanging out with Neville - the love of her life. Neville is very large fluff ball of a cat that she brought home with her from Hong Kong.

KEITH - DESIGN CONSULTANT

Keith is a New Jersey local, whose passion for photography was sparked when he first stepped foot in his high school's dark room. He has been fascinated with analog processes ever since and continued his formal education in photography at RIT in Rochester, New York.

After university, Keith took part in a once in a lifetime solo trek across the U.S via bicycle with his camera close at hand. The abundance of kindness from strangers he encountered on his travels is a continuing inspiration to keep shooting, meet new people and give back wherever he can. He continues to freelance product and event photography today and he was part of the opening team for Venture Caldwell in 2018.

When he is not in the studio, you can find him tending to his flock of chickens and backyard garden with his partner Tani and his stepson Hudson. Or gearing up for a day of cycling or snowboarding depending on the time of year.
